How Optimize Images for the Web, Uploading Pictures to WordPress and Joomla

Create fast loading, good looking images for your website. This tutorial video is for both WordPress and Joomla. I teach you how to upload images to both.

The lesson includes information on how-to re-size your images so they have a reasonable file size for the internet.

How Optimize Images for the Web, Uploading Pictures to WordPress and Joomla

A large image on the web is about 500 pixels width or so.

200-300 px wide is medium size. Thumbnail type images are 150 pixels or less.

Use Photoshop, Paint or the free online image editor Gimp 2.0. Just do a search for it.

Be sure to use hspace and vspace to give your image some breathing room around the text on your web page.

Use align left or right to position your image how you like it.
